Internal clock generates triggers at rate set by CLOCK_RATE knob (0.1Hz–20Hz range). External clock overrides when patched. On each clock trigger, step counter advances (wraps at 8). Each track reads its current step knob value, applies tempo-synced slew (slew time = step_duration × slew_knob_value), outputs smoothed CV. Gate outputs go high on step advance, low 10ms before next step. Slew implemented as one-pole lowpass with time constant recalculated each step based on clock period.
